今では国内に僅か四名しかいない、い草の手染職人。そのうちの二名が「野口イ草染色」の職人という希有な技で、い草の希少な「一番毛」を染め上げ、四重の袋織りのラグに仕立てました。独自の染色技術により色褪せが少なく、耐久性にも優れています。素材、染め、織りのすべてがメイドイン柳川。アート作品のような大胆な柄で、ドバイでも高い評価を得ている、日本の心を華やかに物語る逸品です。

There have only been four craftsmen in Japan who hand dye Igusa (Japanese rush grass). Two of them utilize rare skills to dye premium rush grass and weave it into four-ply dou- ble-weaving Goza (igusa mat) at Noguchi Ig- usa Sensyoku. Their unique dyeing techniques ensure excellent colorfastness and durability. The bold patterns evoke the work of art, earn- ing high praise from the foreign countries.
